Design Scotland Video unique!  We have the ability to film and edit your wedding video in either the UK or the USA TV format without any degrading format conversions.

Here in Scotland we use a TV format called 'PAL', and in the USA, Canada, Japan and other various countries the format 'NTSC' is used. 

When a conversion is made between the two, the picture quality does degrade by varying amounts, depending on the conversion process used.  By choosing a video filmed by Design Scotland, you remove this step and you receive the final video or DVD without any conversion , and hence at the highest quality possible.

Does DVD remove the PAL/NTSC problems?

Even if you choose to have a DVD of your wedding, and you have it in the UK PAL format, there is a high probability that your DVD player (in the US/Canada) will have difficulty playing the PAL format disk, and you are basically at the mercy of your brand/model of player - you cannot be guaranteed that your player will play the PAL DVD.

[NB: There is no Region Coding on these types of DVD's, so that's not an issue here.]

If you choose a Design Scotland Video, these issues do not exist at the video was filmed, edited and mastered in the NTSC format.

For the very highest quality  both in terms of filming & editing skill, and the final VHS or DVD copy then Design Scotland is the safe and smart choice.
